The Deacons Committee seeks to involve members of our congregation in worship, learning, witness, service and support. Members of the Deacons line up worship servants every week: ushers, scripture readers, communion preparers, video operators, van drivers, etc. We change paraments, prepare candles for Christmas Eve services, and decorate the Christmas trees. These are “routine” but important things in the life and service of our church.
The Education Committee helps people of all ages in their Spiritual journey. We organize and facilitate Sunday school, Confirmation, Summer Church Camp, adult Bible studies, and other family activities.
Also known as the E-Team, the Evangelism Committee is responsible for outreach ministry including the annual Church Picnic, Connection Cards, guest bags, and maintaining contact with our college students and new members.
The Stewardship Committee ensures that financial gifts given to Trinity are put to their best use. They oversee the annual pledge drive, all other fundraising efforts, and designate each year’s Mission of the Month lineup.
Trustees oversee the maintenance of Trinity’s expansive building and grounds, Trinity’s first impression to the community around us. Construction, maintenance and repair backgrounds are helpful but not necessary for members of the Trustees.
The Youth and Family Committee works with the youth – the future of the church. They help plan weekly activities for high school youth. They also coordinate a bigger trip every year, either to the National Youth Gathering or another destination for service and fellowship.
The Congregational Council is comprised of the chairs of each of the committees, as well as the elected President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer. This group facilitates communication among committees and helps further the ministry and vision of Trinity Lutheran Church.
